Ultimate satisfaction
I have been having Amma’s darshan for about 15 years. Amma had come to our place when I was in the 6th standard. We were staying in Suratkal at that time. The program was in a beach side village near Mangalore. My exams were going on at that time but my father forcibly took me to meet Amma. We started from our house at 1 am and reached the program site at 3 am. I had exams the next day so we thought that going early would help us get darshan earlier. I met Amma during the morning program –…

Come Back, Come Back
During Amma’s visit to London this week I was helping out on the Meet and Greet stand in the entrance hall at Alexandra Palace. At the end of the first day’s session, as people started lining up to see Amma leave for her afternoon break, an elderly lady, who had just arrived at the venue, came up to me and asked whether she could have darshan from Amma, who she had never seen before. I explained that the afternoon session was now ending and that she could see Amma if she waited till the evening. She seemed rather upset and…

Two thumbs up from Amma
AYUDH UK at AMMA’S UK Visit 2008 AYUDH UK made their colourful appearance felt this year by a number of activities during Amma’s visit in UK. On the first day of the program, the AYUDH members approached Amma with dove-shaped cookies, which the youth had baked, in an attempt to have them blessed. The cookies were in the shape of AYUDH logo, a Dove, in order to raise donations for her charitable activities. Amma threw flowers on the cookies and youth placing a sweet in each of their mouths. The second day the AYUDH group all clothed in their white…

My prayer
O True Friend! My hope of Hopes, Where art thou? I have not been holding thee close, Yet when time draws nearer to our meeting This child hopes to be embraced in thy motherly hug. Every lost moment causes the old man gasp and yet this little one seeks thy warm embrace. Time flies by, the day is here. And kitchen fires lit to feed thy big Family; This child knows not how to welcome or do thy bidding And these add to his anxiety. He knows that the family is large and his Mother hath not so much time…

From Paris
Sorry for not writing for so long. So much is happening all the time, dont know where to start. Before the tour started Amma was 2 days in the german ashram. I already wrote what happened there. The next day in the afternoon Amma came at around 5 pm, went to the stables and saw each horse, feeding it carrots and/or bread. Also she enquired about their wellbeing. One horse could not chew the carrot properly, Amma asked what was the problem, teethproblem they said. But Amma detected that it was the jaw, that was hurting the horse and lovingly…

Shine on you crazy diamond
Almost two months ago a tiny dying street puppy, landed in our home. For almost two weeks, Angel, as we named him, was taken to the veterinary hospital and treated for insect infested wounds. I never thought he would make it through the bad times, because he was just too tiny to hang on to his dear life. Occasionally we [my sister or my mom] would smear him with Amma’s vibhuti, praying in our hearts for Amma to cure him. Hoping against hope, we were glad when one day dad said; he was on the way to recovery. With those…
