Soo much has happened in the last 24 hrs! well, it all started out being a normal wednesday, but it was 3 pm and still amma hadnt come out…i was on my way back from the college and i met a bramhachari on the bridge coming from the ashram, we exchanged the usual conversation, first question is always “is amma out yet?” He sadly shook his head and said “No”, so i went back to my room and then i went to the bookstall and was just talking with fellow bramhacharies and “ding!”. pure bliss
The bhajans were pure bliss tonight. She sang the following songs. Here I sit in Paris in front of my computer reading the blogs from the devotees at Amritapuri, with tears streaming down my face because all the little details that I read make me feel even more all the love and devotion of being in the ashram. Right Use of Technology
After a real long day in the stall, I heard that Amma was singing bhajans and rushed to the stage where She was giving darshan. It was almost 4am in the morning and Amma had been on stage since 9:30 the previous morning. I was just transfixed on Amma and Her singing. Flowers of My Heart
Towards the end of the Birthday Darshan, Bhavani brought up a computer and small camera to the stage. An internet connection had been established between Amritapuri and Amma’s Ashram in San Ramon, California . With Amma’s Grace, I was almost right next to Her on the stage and was able to see the entire interaction. rain stopped
Every one of us would have noticed that the rain stopped a day before AMMA’s Bday. The weather forecast as per the media was that it would rain on 26th, 27th and 28th. When I happened to meet/chat with our Ashram brothers during those auspicious moments, not one of them failed to be reminded of ‘Govardhana Giridhari’. Infact one of the inmates told me that it rained on 25th at regular intervals because AMMA would have thought that the cement (used for Amrita Setu) could become stronger and concrete with the help of the natural water from up above. Waiting for a Glance
Finally! The birthday celebrations are behind us…lot of chaos, ofcourse in a positive way i guess. After Birthday Bhajans
The birthday is happily over. There was just so much to do that I didn’t find time to write. Today everything is almost back to normal, except that Amma will be leaving for Europe in a few days. A little Sad for those staying here but bliss for those waiting eagerly in Europe. Tonight’s bhajans were nice and relaxed. Amma’s Path
Amma’s grace has allowed us to be with Her at Amritapuri these past three weeks. She has provided many opportunities to connect with the inner and outer mother. Both my husband and I have had the seva of cleaning Amma’s path. It is a job that is physically taxing especially during the persistent rains that we have had daily. My poor health at the time did not help either. Of course, there were also numerous challenges to the ego that really tested the ability to focus and respond from a spiritual perspective.
