  • From Paris

Sorry for not writing for so long. So much is happening all the time, dont know where to start. Before the tour started Amma was 2 days in the german ashram. I already wrote what happened there. The next day in the afternoon Amma came at around 5 pm, went to the stables and saw each horse, feeding it carrots and/or bread. Also she enquired about their wellbeing. One horse could not chew the carrot properly, Amma asked what was the problem, teethproblem they said. But Amma detected that it was the jaw, that was hurting the horse and lovingly…

  • Amma at the German ashram

Here are some nice events with Amma from the time she spent at the German ashram before the Europe tour started: At the ashram, there are two houses named Durga and Shakti. Amma walked down from the gravel road to both the houses. It leads one through a hilly garden, full of trees, ponds, flowers and a little bridge. Amma was leisurely walking down the steep path and looking at the scenery. Then she went into Shakti house, were she is staying, and walked straight to the kitchen looking for some prasad to give to all of us. It was…

5 oct 2008, amritapuri amma gave probably the longest day-darshan in amritapuri today. to my knowledge this must be the longest day-darshan in recent times other than public programs that were held outside the ashram. the morning darshan started at 10 a.m (on 4th oct) and went on till 4.15 am the next day!! just before amma got up, a man with his wife came running for darshan. it was only in the evening that he read the papers and then he got to know that it was to be the last darshan day. so he had rushed with his…

  • Akhilandeshwari Jaya Jagadamba

20 Sep 2008, Amritapuri Yesterday night, at the very end of the evening bahajns Amma sang a heart-stirring version of “He Amba”. When she told the musicians on stage about her choice of the song they exchanged glances and smiled at each other. They must have thought to themselves: Amma, who has a repertoire of thousands of devotional songs in dozens of languages, chooses to sing this simple Namavali at the climax of her bhajans? But in fact, there is no such thing like a simple song for Amma. She can infuse the greatness of her devotion into any bhajan.…

  • The Magic of Ammas Love

It is so nice to see people change in Amma’s Love.We had an IAM class last week. There were about 80 people – as usual from all over the world, from the East to the West. One lady came up to me during a break and asked me, “I do not know whether my question is right or not but I just did not feel anything when I met Amma. It was my first meeting with Amma and people told me that I was supposed to feel something, but I just did not.”I talked to her and told her to take…

  • Eyes are on the Goal

Recently there was one lady at Amritapuri. After becoming a part of the Amma family, she had with the help of other local devotees initiated many new charitable service activities. And through these activities they had been really helping a lot of needy people, reaching out to a lot of new people with Amma’s message. But there was a problem. And so many times we too find it is so with us too – that one problem which mars perfection! There was another devotee who had been involved with the local activities for some time now and somehow both could…

  • Ashram in Toronto

Om Nama Shivaya. I would like to share this with readers of the website.  Amma visited the Canadian Ashram prior to the public program and retreat. What a wonderful treat Canadians had when Amma arrived in Canada on July 19, 2008. Amma arrived on Canadian soil at approximately 9p.m.  At about 10pm, Her car drew up at the Canadian ashram grounds.  Before Amma’s arrival, there was a heavy downpour which lasted for hours.   It was as if the Yamuna river as flooding again as on the night Lord Krishna was born.   This time, Canadian soil and roads were being cleansed…
