Recently there was one lady at Amritapuri. After becoming a part of the Amma family, she had with the help of other local devotees initiated many new charitable service activities. And through these activities they had been really helping a lot of needy people, reaching out to a lot of new people with Amma’s message.

But there was a problem. And so many times we too find it is so with us too – that one problem which mars perfection! There was another devotee who had been involved with the local activities for some time now and somehow both could not get together. This lady organiser was very upset and wanted Amma to come up with a solution. But how could Amma choose between two of Her children. Amma said that She wanted both of them, and just wanted Her children to be happy. “But”, Amma added, “Such problems will always be there when you start working with other people. If your vision is on the good that is arising out of your work, the benefit that the people are getting, then all problems that may arise will seem negligible. But if your eyes are on the little problems, then nothing will work, the small problems will look big. Amma just wants Her children to be happy. You do what makes you happy.”

If our eyes are on the goal – can there be any problem?

  1. A great lesson Amma taught us i.e., look at the goal not at the path.
