Vishnu, a slim, smart and active kid and an 8th grader from Kalpetta is one among the many talented students on whom fate has been really harsh.

A heart-attack separated his father, the only earning member in the family, from him. His father was tailor and earned a meager amount in which his studies and all the household necessities were fulfilled. After the demise of his father, his mom took up a job as a laborer in some factory making medicines. Still with the amount his mum earned, his studies and his elder sister’s marriage was not an easy responsibility to handle.

“It’s only because of the scholarship I got that I am studying in 8th grade now”, says Vishnu. He thinks he’s really lucky to be studying now.

Vishnu is also a very good football player. “Manchester United is my favorite. They play really well,” says Vishnu with lot of excitement in his tone.

Vishnu believes that it’s only because of Amma and her blessings that he his life has changed drastically. He says that he can’t imagine what he would have been doing now if it wasn’t for Vidyamritham.
