Tution classes at Delhi Ashram
I am on a train tonight to Jammu, then on to Srinagar to cover the medical team.
Stopping briefly at Amma’s Delhi Ashram, I saw a familiar sight in the afternoon. Nearly a hundred children clustered in front of four teachers. These afternoon tuition classes are a key part of the Adopted Villages Program being deployed to rural villages in every state of India. The poor children of Delhi are no different than their rural brothers and sisters. They too need help to keep up in school and the ashram is providing it.
