After 6+ weeks, the Ashram is alive again.as Amma returned to Amritapuri at approximately 10:50am this morning. Her camper came in the north entrance of the Ashram and slowly made its way through the throngs of residents and visitors who had gathered.
About 200 people were waiting the base of her home. Amma exited the camper and walked towards the staircase, stopping along the way to chat briefly with a few of the brahamacharinis. About midway up the stairs, Amma turned towards the crowd. “Did you eat?” Amma asked. The crowd chimed back the same question to her, which elicited a nice laugh.
For a number of the westerners who had gathered there, it was their first time seeing Amma. A few could be seen wiping tears from their eyes.
