Today it’s finally happening after a long time – the first Devi Bhava in Amritapuri since 20 months! Many probably already thought that it Amma will not give anymore Devi Bhava darshan in India, so it came as a pleasant surprise when Amma announced that there would be one this Sunday. Many people booked flights from all over the country after hearing the news. I wonder how many will call work tomorrow and say they will not be able to make it? That’s how irresistible Amma’s pull is. Like the Krishna Lila happening all over again.
Amma first came out in the morning to give darshan in the old temple until around 2 o’clock, then She came out again at 4.30 to the auditorium for satsang and bhajans. The Devi Bhava bhajans are somehow very special and differ in mood slightly from the “normal” ones. I cannot really exactly pinpoint how though, but definitely the devotion in the air is thick and really pervades everything. Especially since the Bhava darshan is such a rare event here these days.
As far as I remember Amma always sings Manase Nin Svantamayi and Neelambuja Nayane before Devi Bhava and so it was today also. Others were new and lively songs:

Shankara Sut Ho Tum
Manasa Chora Radha Krishna
Neelambuja Nayane
Mata Rani Ne
Om Namah Shivaya
Manase Nin Svantamayi
Sarvavyapiyai
Amma Baramma
Jai Janani Jai Ho Teri

After the bhajans the doors closed and everyone was left waiting for the auspicious moment of Devi’s arrival. Somehow it feels like some dark clouds are being lifted by Amma and that this Devi Bhava marks the end of a period and opens the beginning of a new one.
Finally the doors opened and there She was, so astonishingly beautiful, dressed in a bright and clear violet/blue sari that shines like an Amethyst. And She had a beautiful smile on Her lips like I haven’t seen before. It is like Amma is manifesting some new aspect of the Divine Mother, or then I just haven’t seen a Bhava darshan for some time. I’m sure Dhyanamritaji will post some photos soon.

Ps. I just noticed Dhyanamritaji already posted the first teaser. More to come I’m sure.
