While chopping away busily for the next meal, they talked about what brought them here and their experiences with Amma.

Prabodh San Giorgio is a volunteer who have been in the ashram for many years now. He is from Italy and his devotion towards Amma is what brought him here.  He says he has see Amma work hard day and night for others and this created in him a strong feeling that if Amma can do so much for others then even he should be doing his part to help others. When asked about how Amma has had an impact on his life he says that once Amma had told him that pubs and restaurants are just waste of money and does not serve the purpose. So he thought of doing his part in the right way and has been doing it since then in the kitchen here providing food for the hungry souls.
Premaputra  is another volunteer in the kitchen and she hails from Mumbai. She has been staying in the Amritapuri ashram for the last two weeks. She has been coming here for the past 7-8 years. She said that she happened to meet Amma through a family friend of her whose illness was totally cured by Amma’s blessings. “I became so curious when I heard about Amma that I was determined to meet her, and after meeting her, I now know about her love for people. So I decided to be with her and do my part to help others”, says Premaputra.
