The other day, at the end of the Question and Answer session at the Boston Area Retreat, we were all treated to a special satsang during which we were told a few stories about Rama and Sita from the Ramayana. It was sweet and innocent. Each word was filled with wisdom and introspective thought. And it was told by 5 year old Siddharth.

Sitting next to Amma, Siddharth told how Rama used his arrow to split a stone that was being hurled at him by the demons. We were spellbound as to how such a young child could remember such details.

Next, Amma asked him to sing Chitta Chora. Without missing a beat, he started singing, and Amma sang backup. Amma was overjoyed as were we. It was wonderful.

When he finished, Amma commented, ‘As long as we have children and beautiful nature, we will always be happy.’ Amma then headed into the dining hall to begin serving dinner.

It was the first time in memory that Amma herself did not lead a bhajan at the end of the Q&A session.
