Hanging Around

Om Amriteswaryai Namaha
Been a looooong time since I put up any post. The two months of Amma’s absence was really a dull and dry phase 🙁 . But its festival time here since last week. Our beloved Amma is back and to be precise She is back with a Bang.

This weekend was the first one since Amma landed here and as expected the crowds were huge. The darshan went on from morning till about 10 in the night. Last night I got chance to hang around Amma for quite a while. Shri. Bhupen Hazarika, the well known Assamese singer and a devotee of Amma was here for the weekend. He sang a few songs for Amma last night. He said this was his first public singing since he underwent a heart surgery.

When he started, Amma was giving darshan and immediately She motioned for all those around to clap to the song. But in our enthusiasm, we lost all sync with the beat of the song. So it was our Amma again to rescue us or rather rescue the song from us 🙂 . Soon She set a perfect rhythmic beat and motioned with Her hands for the crowds to follow. It was like a music festival here. Once Bhupen ji finished and he came for darshan, Amma had a surprise for all. She called for the latest punjabi bhajan that was composed and started singing it out for all. It was a great sight to watch our beloved Amma singing in Her sweet and charming way in a casual darshan set up. Reminded me of Her birthday celebrations where She has made it a habit to sing while giving darshan.

Forgot to mention a incident that happened around this time. When Bhupen ji was singing and Amma was setting a beat, the darshan line was at its fag end and the people for mantra were lining up. Amma called for those who have come for getting their babies fed by Amma. Somehow everybody else seemed to have forgotten in the midst of watching Amma and Her wonderous play, whether any of them were left out and Amma kept asking a few times about it. So when we presumed that there was nobody left for the feeding, a couple came running with their babies and Amma then fed the baby.

I was wondering that although we are not doing or managing so many things like Amma, we tend to forget lot of things so many times, but Amma never oversees even the tiniest detail. Hope I get to learn at least a little by hanging around and watching Her set an example in everything 🙂 .
