I would not say per ‘importance’ rather per ‘means to survive in physical aspect’. Now how important is that it’s part of life in worldly matter.
Money? It’s everything… but without discrimination .. its’ nothing!!
A very thoughtful question! At present I use money for lots of wasteful things like eating, buying books (somewhat useful), travelling etc. But i need to mend this in an effective way, since I am not earning as yet. So, i think I will start giving better importance when i actually will put effort to earn it. But, Amma’s selfless service always gives me hint, that how money can be properly used for goodness & well-being of the world.
Feed the poor and needy..
Well it is like it is. As long as i have a place to sleep, food to eat i must be thankful. For, all the rest is luxury. I always had more than enough even when i didn’t have much. I felt stressed depending on others generosity when i felt not having enough. Money is a complicated thing ..money seems to rule the world. I like to share what i have.
At this time money is not important. I have no really important use for it, other then helping the poor. For me, I need only God, then I’m fine. Money is only a convenience, a tool to use to get something you desire.
Aum Dhana Dhanya Vivardhinyai Namah
Only those who are devoted to AMMA, i.e. God, know verily the importance of Dhana and Dhanya. Dhana :: Money. Dhanya :: Food Products
money is useful, we can do good things with money, we can feed to the poor, offer presents to our friends, travel to see Amma…
Money is also a form of energy, it should flow.
Money is simply an energy source or energy gained within this world. Money may transform to gasoline, or food, or clothing, etc. It is an absolute mistake to chase or attach to money as it is too limited and disappears almost as fast as it appears.
My Guru says, “Trust in God and all will be provided for you!” My Blessing is that… Amma is my Guru.
In today’s world, money is a very important thing without which there is no survival. In the mad rush of getting more and more money, people are becoming enemies to each other. But when you are under the divine umbrella of AMMA by her grace you come to realize that money is a means to fulfill our necessities and not more than that. We should surrender ourselves in her divine lap and SHE will look after everything.
SHE provides it in the appropriate amount, shows me the way it needs to be used (get the needs, offer it to the needy, travel to be with Her physical form).
For me money for the longest time meant security. I see it now more and more as an easy tool folks use to satisfy desires. Many times it is used to boost one’s ego. I pray to Amma that I learn to use it wisely and with proper discrimination.
Money is a necessity. It is the means by which we can lead a good life. Only if we spent Money wisely can it benefit us and society on the whole.
Money is a double sided weapon that one can use to protect the world or injure oneself. Used well it can help hundreds of people around you. Used unwisely.. it will just spoil your character and let you get lost in the world of maya. I work to earn money but do not run behind it.
Money is a loan from the Goddess Lakshmi for which we should be thankful and happy. It is like any other loan – beauty, talent, intelligence – if we know to use it right, it is great. It is a kind of energy (auspiciousness) and not something we can hold on to. It dislikes dark, cold lockers and wants to travel in palms which can use it well. It is happy when someone like Bill Gates releases it to help the world. It plots against those who misuse it. That is why those people are lucky who give their money to a person who cannot be tempted by it and let themselves be taken care by Her.
I don’t give importance to money; it’s secondary for me. I give priority for Love. Throughout my life whenever I come across money problem, Amma solves it in her own way, so I just don’t worry about it. I surrender all my desires to Amma’s and wait. I believe that Amma is arranging all necessities for me in this life.
Money is important in every householders life. It’s what keeps things moving and all working. Without money, we couldnt see Amma and do things we want to. Even if it is simple. It is a necessity which people depend on, however, it should not control people’s lives.
Money is very important but instead of running after it we should do our work with righteousness in whatever field we are in and Amma will take care of giving us what we need.
If u are thinking that u are the owner of money and asking AMMA , as if SHE is your servant , !!! Give me more money!!!! , result is NO PEACE of MIND. But on the contrary , if u consider HER as the owner of money and you yourself as Her servant- a wise manger – who uses the money to things SHE loves – which is nothing but LOKAKSHEMA (welfare of world), SHE will ensure your YOGAKSHEMA [ all round welfare ]
when you are an artist if you have money means you can buy more materials and better quality materials to keep working and create new works in that sense its important, and if you love doing what you do money definitely helps, but in a same way there is no importance to it, is an exchange currency, you exchange it for things that you need to do things which you love…..and if you do not have money you just use whatever is at your hands, it helps your creativity!!! and eat porridge 3 times a day… and pray…
To survive we need money, if it is being used properly it is good to have it. We need to have proper discrimination for that or it will be like a garland in the hand of a monkey..may Amma bless us to have that discrimination 🙂
I want to add one more point…The best example is our Amma, world’s best manager (more than that)…..she is using the money for her children, for their well being…..Amma teaches us that there is no point in preaching to a starving man…first we should provide them the necessary items…
money : means of exchange; knowing Amma, I feel rich cherished and enriched and look forward to be enriching
I wish i didn’t have money or need for money.
Money, Prosperity, wealth are represented by the Devata of wealth Goddess Lakshmi. So if we handle the money in that Divine attitude it has its own value.
Money has a very important role in this material life. The main thing is how we utilize it. The water of holy Gangaji can make huge flood and at the same time we can use the water for a good purpose of irrigation. See how our most beloved Amma utilizes money for many good purposes and charity?
i respect money because it is one of god’s many blessings. there are so many poor people struggling for just a meal that one bows in gratitude for what one has.
but, i dont pray for money. Having seen God in the form of Amma makes it natural to pray for nothing other than Her Beautiful Form and Her constant Love and presence in my life. i pray for Amma to never leave me and Amma takes care of everything else in my life. She fulfils my smallest unspoken need and leaves me with gratitude and a deep wish to share my blessings with others.
Can a child who has a Mother not be looked after? What then can one say about a child who’s Mother is God???? 🙂 Jai Ma Kali!
Money is very important in this material life. I pray Amma, all amma’s children should get good money, good pay so that they are able to come generously to support Amma mission. As amma’s child i surrender all my desires to Amma, trust me, money does not play an important role. I believe that Amma is taking care of me in this life.
But at the same time i pray amma to give me more strength to generate fund for amma’s center here in Auckland.
