18 Jan 2009, Coimbatore In Coimbatore during a morning darshan I was standing on the first floor of the school which gave a full view of Amma giving darshan. She was doing this in full speed.

People pushed and rushed to secure darshan tokens in exchange for the timecards served on their arrival. It looked like they wanted nothing else but the tokens for darshan.

Sure the love in their hearts was stirred fully awake.

But Amma seems much more eager to meet Her children or why would she undertake such travel travails upon herself on such large scales the world over round the year.

Standing at that point I had the benefit of seeing Amma from behind-right. what a speed in her actions. Hugging each one wholly for a second and soon stretching out for the next one.

I could also see the plasma tv screen showing Amma from the front. Amma seemed to have all the time in the world for each one. The one second seen from behind Her stretched into several seconds during which time Amma did the many things.

She smiled, talked, gave prasad, did a number of things about giving prasad etc. for one of them She peeled a banana and stuffed it horizontally wholly into the mouth of a young man. Amma enjoys giving darshans, I must say.

Every face that goes near her face has different features, different problems, different expressions, different expectations. But her loving smile hovers on as the still center of all the changing things of the world.

Would the love of all her children put together come anywhere closer to Amma’s love for Her children.
