Amma I promise to be forgiving to myself so I maybe forgiving of others.
I promise to always chant my mantra.
And I promise to always follow your instruction the same way I have the last 18 years. To be quiet, to hear your sweet whispers. -
I wouldn’t promise anything for I am incapable of holding any promise!

I will never abandon the path to self-realisation. I will act generously and compassionately always. I will communicate the truths I understand for the benefit of others on the path.

i feel, i am not anybody to give her a promise..nothing is there in my hand…it is Her WILL that works….i have to ask Her what would they be…and pray to Her to give me the power to keep the promise!

O Amma!! How can I promise you anything when you extend through me and have such a strong grip of my ego?
How can I promise anything when you are the one in command?
How can I promise anything when you are bent on breaking my will? -

To promise Amma would be easy, but to stick to that promise would be next to impossible. Best thing would be to assure her that I will pray and chant my mantra sincerely, that I would try to be a good human being: not hurt people by action or word, conquer my negative feelings and develop an abundance of patience, compassion, and faith.

O Amma!!!!!!!!!What shall i say about the promise!!!I am extreemly not capable to do a promise.Rachana is absolutely right. To promise is easy but to keep the promise and maintain it is a very toughf task. But Amma i will surely try my best to maintain the six commandments. Ie Sathyam vada, Dharamamchara, Matru Devo Bhava, Pithir Devo Bhava, Acharya Devo bhava and Athithi Devo Bhava. But this is also possible only if your divine grace is shining in me.
