The report from Raichur!! Today is the last day of working here for us.

We had some pieces of bread and chai for breakfast.  This is the last breakfast here. Unfortunately everything is ending. I must miss the meal here…

After we got power, we started working; such as bringing sands, unloading blocks and bricks, and sprinkling water on the walls of houses. I think we worked hardest than ever because all of us did not want to regret at all. Today is the last. During the break time after the lunch, most of the students went up to the mountain. I heard that the view was just unbelievable. I envy so much. It means I did not go up, because I was exhausted. I should have been there.

In the afternoon we also worked so hard; bringing sands and unloading bricks and blocks. Last 1 hour before ending our project, we were asked to unload the one big track’s blocks. Everybody thought that it was impossible if they did it as the same pace. But we knew this is our task, and we have just 1 hour here, and all of us didn’t want to regret.  Then we could complete!!!!  Woooooow

After the dinner, we left Raichur. I don’t know how much I could help for the “housing project” and the people who are suffered. We have worked only 7days, and the construction will last more and more. 7 days are not enough absolutely. We have to go back to Japan. However, we came here. That’s true.

I appreciate everybody let us work here. And I just hope everybody can get the home and happiness.

Thank you.

  1. Very nice work indeed.
Your post reminds me of story in Ramayana.
Sri Rama and his soldiers are at seashore, trying to build a bridge across the mighty ocean. All the monkey soldiers including mighty heroes like Hanuman,Jambavan etc. are carrying big blocks of rocks and hills and dropping into ocean.
It is said that even nature joined in their effort as it is for upholding dharma.
Suddenly everyone aw a sight.A small chipmunk, was running in between everyone’s legs; going to ocean, dipping itself to get it’s body wet, coming back to the shore , rolling in the sand then going back and shaking the sand in the bridge, trying to fill the gaps.
Even though everyone is putting their effort, Sri Rama noticed this seemingly insignificant and useless work of this small animal.
He went near and lifted him up and compassionately patted it’s back. It’s said that, those three white lines which are seen on them(even today) is from Sri Rama’s graceful pat.
Indeed, no work is smaller in Guru’s eyes even if it seems to be, for us.It’s the attitude that matters.
You all have done a fantastic work for 7 days. Never mind, how small it was it’ll be rewarded.
    🙂
