I always want to be with her..Last time when I saw Amma in car..She saw me and left me with one feeling..”My daughter as you want to be with me I too want you to be with me forever”Now this feeling is turning into longing for her.. “The sun is so far up in the sky, and yet it makes the lotus bud in the pond blossom.”-Amma..And by listening to this thought it makes me to crave more for her.I don’t how to live..But the only thing I know is Amma in my heart..I am her child..She is my mother..She too wants me to be with her..it’s not just my physical presence but giving my soul to her…

Amma is beyond all expectations. But if there is one thing she would like for us most, it would be to grow spiritually.

  8. Nada

Like every loving and caring mother, She expects us to be The Best!

  9. priya

Every Teacher wants his student to be like him and infact even better than him. Every mother wants her child to be like her and even better than her. So I am sure, Amma wants me to become like Her !!

Amma expects me to chant my mantra at all times, discriminate before doing any action , do all actions without any expectations offering everything at her feet, wake up at Brahma Muhurtham and chant Sree Lalita sahasranamam.

To be compassionate and reach out to the needy. TO love all without any bias

I feel Amma does not expect anything, she is always happy to see me. I also feel tremendous Amma’s presence in my heart and mind, and that she is always guiding and protecting me. I do know when I am consistent with my spiritual practices I get more attention during my once a year darshan. She is very happy when I help others in need and she knows all about me intuitively.

Actually my most beloved Amma doesn’t expect anything from anybody for her unconditional Love, compassion, selfless service , material, moral and physical help for the needy. She is the abode of all these Noble virtues. But of course in the stand of a Guru, with limitations of my thinking capability’ i feel Amma expects, her disciples to be role models and follow her path. If we can imbibe her teachings and follow them, it is good for us.

  14. sweetmannu

AMMA wants everybody to understand the ultimate purpose of this life and everybody should try to achieve that ultimate goal…..ie ‘Self Realization’

  15. prasanth

In an earlier blog, I read about an event in which Amma said everybody “vaa makkalaee” (‘Come children). I think this is what Amma expects from all of us. To come to the supreme truth of Amma, to be with that Amma who is inside all of us, all the time. Amma’s material body advices us to come her subtle body which is present in all of us.

  16. child

She expects my concentration if I am serious about becoming a real spiritual person! She expects my faith…but her expectations aren’t really expectations from what I understand!

  17. lakshmikumar

amma is universe. She never expects anything us. But only one thing i.e. “we have to be like her”. It means not to sit and give darshan like amma hugs the devotees. We have to follow her aim (compassion, selfless service etc.)All the spiritual practices will make walk in that way.

  18. sudha balan

I feel, Amma’s expectation from me is “To see AMMA in all living & non living things of this universe”.

  19. Renu Wadhwa

Self realization. Forget past, do not remember future live in present.

  20. sigrid

what amma wants from me is not small: To penetrate the shell ego and softened my stony heart with devotion and do seva with the divine magic of love, and to be insightful. In this process she accompanies me with love, tenderness and compassion.

  21. rosaria ferrario

    Learn Love Really without ego.

  22. Sri Mayi

I think more than Amma’s expectations from us is important to see what are our expectations from ourselves. We are so blessed to have Amma as the most perfect example of what it means living a Spiritual Life. We all know that Her Love is unconditional, so it’s up to us to make the best use of it: for ourselves and most of all for who is around us.

  23. drraju

at present AMMA wants me to chant lalitha sahasranamam daily. amma wants me to be alert when anger arises in me and with awareness erase it. amma wants me to learn to forgive others (practice nonviolence) & chant my mantra as much as possible.

  24. kati

Amma wants me to sing and dance in Her name, to chant my mantra, and to stay connected with her, by any means. Probably she wants me to do meditations regularly which up to now I could not yet fulfill.
Amma lets me be happy and look somehow behind the outer shell. Amma wants me to serve people and to use my time living my life.

  25. aruna_amma

I dont know, i am waiting to ask her that next time.

  26. malasharma

I think what pleases Amma most is absolute unquestioning surrender ,selfless service ,working very hard to serve her in whatever way we can along with constantly remembering Amma’s Divine name in our hearts all the time with each and every breath. An almost impossible task but we can keep trying all the time .If efforts are sincere Amma will know and then maybe by her grace we will long for her more !

  27. Susannah

Amma has no expectations and that is why she is so joyful.

  28. vyghamenon

amma wants me to take care of her ‘ponnu mon’ (Darling son).

  29. vgkumari

amma wants all her children through out the world to serve, love all without any expectation.

What Amma expects moment to moment from me keeps changing but in the long run she wants us to be successful in what we were born to do, that is become a pure soul.

  31. harish amrita

amma wants us to contribute to world progress in watever positive way possible which will make all her children on earth leave peacefully…
amma is very much concerned bout the atrocities and mishappenings occuring due to humans going against nature and humanity…..she expects us to revert from any such actions which harms the harmony and life on this planet… her efforts are always oriented towards bringing each life on the planet to the right DESTINY which we realise very late in our span….. aum amriteshwaryai namaha

  32. naveendas

To be happy, Love all and serve all. True self.

  33. unnikrishnan

Amma wants her children to work hard, love all, help the poor, be a model to others and love all irrespective of religion, language, nation or politics.

  34. Savithry

I humbly state that, what i believed what Amma expects from me has changed from time to time. It has changed in sync with my expectations about me. Sometimes it would be a person practicing spiritual austerities, sometimes it would be a person living a life of service and sometimes, it would be a person who is very accomplished in one or more fields of science. But through these various shifts, Amma has taught me a lot about myself. I guess that is what Amma expects from me. Whatever field I may end up in, to know about myself, is what She expects.

  35. lasita-angel

    To love….just love….and wake up!

  36. kanita0210

I think Amma wants that we all always be happy. Whenever we are sad, Amma always is there to make us feel happy and joyful….. Amma is always in our heart and mind…. I also guess Amma wants us to take it easy regarding our problems and sadness.

  37. prasad

What amma preaches or tells, make into action in each one’s life (Karma yoga)

  38. AMMA wants to serve the world without expecting anything in return.
AMMA expects to love as seeing Her Self in oneself as well as in others.
