actually two come to mind: One was when I was about 9 or so. It was ‘special weekend’ with my Dad (each of my siblings had one) – he took me to NYC (we lived about 45 minutes away) and saw a day performance at Lincoln Center and went to the top of the Empire State Building. As we were heading to catch a train home in the evening, When we arrived at Penn Station at the base of Madison Square Garden, I asked if we could see the Knicks play basketball. When my Dad actually agreed and went and got tickets right then and there, I was overjoyed! Second was last summer when all the kitchen tour staff members sang “Happy Birthday” to me in New Mexico and Apoorva baked a special Ginger cookie cake.
The day I met Amma for the 1st time :). It was not only the happiest day of my life, but the most magical week of my life. The begining of my life, a rebirth at the Divine Mother Lotus Feet.
My happiest day in my life – when I was at Amritpuri with Amma
Today is the happiest day,
And the day that becomes today,
As every future day,
Once should turn into today.
Today is the happiest day,
As it is the best gift of all days.
And everyday is a present,
As it at once belongs to today.
it’s yet to come..
By Amma’s grace I have numerous happiest days in my life most of them are the moments which I have spent with Amma. And most precious day in my life was 27th Sept 2006. That’s the day when the goddess of the universe made one of my wishes come true and it happened like this…I had a dream to perform before Amma …that was my long cherished dream…some students decided to perform a dance before Amma and they gave me a chance too…but I declined it…later two or three days before the performance, I got a call in the middle of the night asking for a help to be a part of the dance team as one of the team members left off. Initially I didn’t agree as I was very shy to perform before others…but I had to say yes at last…and we got an opportunity to perform a quite simple dance before Amma….and Amma watched the performance sitting on the side of the stage. At the end we ran to Her…Amma took my hands and said in Tamil “Amma’s child, it was good”…Hooray!!!…I wanted to jump up and down out of joy though I didn’t do it…:)
My happiest days are when i am able to remember Amma in all my work and am able to chant my mantra continuously. But such days have been very rare. I hope that i am able to do this on a daily basis. I pray fervently to Amma to help me realise this and live all my lives this way. Om namah shivaya.
it has not come yet.
needless to say… the first day when i took Amma’s darshan.. 🙂 divine experience indeed.. material pleasures cant match this..
The first day i felt Ammas divine grace flowing into my heart !
Today i cry, life has pain.
But Amma is in my heart,
she smiles at me with love through photographs of Her form.
So, with all love at Her Feet, I belive today is the best day of ever,
She reins supreme in Her childs mind,
What more can i ask,
Ma…..I love You.
🙂
each moment spent with amma in vallakavu are the happiest in my life……other people nd place may delight me,but the true, lasting, happy memory is always ammachi….
Amma’s Retreats days. Contentment, security, and peace filled days. Yesterdays and tomorrows disappear.
Each and every moment I spent with Amma physically and mentally remembering Her are happiest moments for me. However, 24th January 2003, my 10th wedding anniversary day is the happiest day of my life because Amma allowed me to perform Pada Puja that too in Her room. Amma’s leela ….. Her testing …… We had to wait outside Her room 6 hours from 3.45 pm and finally She called me @ 9.45 pm. What an experience it was….. I am not able to recall what all happened during one full hour we spent with Her. Amma Sharanam.
with the grace of AMMA – Today!!!!
when i met amma…and each time i get to be with her…the rest of the time is just time spent waiting to be with her again…
I want to share my happiest movements of my life so far.
I met Amma in 1993 in Amritapuri, since then i worked in Amritavidayalaya as a teacher in few places. I met amma number of times. stayed overseas. The 11th of April 2006 in sydney was the day of my re birth. That day Amma herself put the rudrahaks around my neck and whispered in my ear, today is your rebirth i will be with you always. Now my home is the auckland center where we are conducting weekly satsang.
Dawns are coming full of joy and brightness of sun. We have to tune our heart to that source of happiness. In order to become happy forever we should tune our heart to Amma who is sachidanandaswarupam.
The happiest day in my life is the night of 9-10 March 3am in 1999. This is when I performed Trupadapuja to my beloved Lord.
The happiest day in my life is a day of Sani puja in the Palghat Brahmastanam inaguration. Why?Wonderful experiences are difficult to explain… And waiting for another wonderful happiest day. it is yet to come…
Everyday is a happy day as Amma has taught us to be find happiness within ourselves.
When I first met Amma, she hugged me, I felt such deep bliss. So much so that my life changed. Following Amma’s advise I started chanting 1000 names & mantra which increased inner peace and happiness, and I began to see the effect, and then I gradually changed my life style to simplicity.
When Amma looked at me so lovingly….
Everyday, every moment, every second is a happiest one for me.
NOW is Happiness.
The happiest day was when I had an occasion to do Amma’s padapuja and also to straighten Her hair in front. Also, when I slept on a narrow ledge atop a mountain, under the stars after climbing all the way up and eating part of a cantaloupe for dinner. And bathing on full moon day in the Ganges in Haridwar. Actually, there are so many happiest days competing in my memory.
Each and every moment spent with amma …..Each and every moment spent in the rememberence of amma….are the happiest moments……we should realize that God is within us … the true happiness lies within us….. then every moment we live will be the happiest moment!!!
Every day when I see how Amma is showing Her omniprecense, that She is also here, in a swedish suburb with me! When She is lovingly guiding me closer to Her!
And the first time She said, Darling Daughter, Darling Daughter into my ear. So many beautiful moments with Her!
