Love is a state of mind. Amma helps us to be in that state always. The problem is to understand whether our mind is in that state.

Love, one of the most sublime of emotions, an all time favourite of poets, is one of the nicest things that can happen to anyone. One can be in love with many things; life, God, work, or with a person. Anything that appeals to one’s heart: makes the heart beat faster, makes one go weak in the knees, soft in the head, makes one smile all the time, is love. We fall in love with the qualities the other person encapsulates, their presence in our lives makes life worthwhile, infusing in us the strength to face all the problems. One thing I can say for sure, that all of us love Amma the most. Our love for her surpasses all other love(s).
Renu Wadhwa
Now-a-days love is infatuation which is based on physical attraction. But love with GOD is divine which teaches us to give only. I Love my Divine AMMA which has not limits.
I am not sure if one can fall in love unless it is stated from the highest Truth possible. If Truth is infinite there can be no low or high unless it is a comparison. Comparative reality is what creates unrest in the world.
Love is. There is nothing but Love in this Universe. Even a stalker is in love with the object of his affection. A hunter is in love with hunting the animal as well as the animal itself.
Love is not an emotion – it is an action. Actions can be performed without emotion.

I believe that what people think is “love” is a simple “recognition” of two souls when they first meet, due to past karma, to old (past life/lives) relationships, to unsettled business (on a spiritual level of course). We have the feeling of “knowing” this person and feel the closeness to him/her which we translate as Love.
So it is a simple “past karmic accounts” that link people together again as they re-meet, due to the fact of being in a close relationship in the past (father, mother, brother, sister, son, daughter, relatives, spouse, soul mate…etc), and they misinterpret it with Love.
Anyway, no “Falling in Love” exists, coz the real love is the unconditional one ONLY which is “Flying in Love”!!! 🙂

When we feel attracted to someone or something and we see amazing beauty in it and that opens our heart so much that we are prepared to surrender in order to discover more about this unknown known, then we fall in love. The greatest love affair is with Amma!
oliness
True love is the sincere wish that another living being is happy. That is the highest form of love. But love is often mixed with attachment, clinging, and neediness, to the extent that the world today finds it hard to recognise real love. If we look at Amma, we see the beauty of true love revealed.
sujatha
I think we humans “fall in love” when we are brought close to our inner selves. This may happen temporarily in the presence of a person, object, art form (music, dance) etc. However we all “rise in love” only in Amma’s presence. She provides us a living example of God and gives us the longing to reach Her.
kalipad
‘Sacrifice of ego’ makes one fall in love. Fall in love means fall of ego. The greater the sacrifice, the deeper is the fall of ego, the greater is the humility, the higher is the patience and the sweeter is the love.

It is all Karma I would say. I saw Amma and knew it in my heart: here is the True Love I was searching for all these years. Then I heard a voice of a carnatic singer and I fell in love with that voice and still love it. It is the singer Gayathri Girish.
So it can be anything, we can see someone or hear someone or feel love gradually for someone. Love comes in many forms. To be in love is a beautiful emotion. Amma loves us so much. Remembering this itself is a beautiful thing.
cmdevadath
It is because everything in this world , consciously or not, are moving towards that supreme love. We go in search for love in the wrong places and things/objects,
which will give momentary love of course ,as we all are sparks of the divine, but momentary it is !
We get a glimpse of the divine, infinite, selfless love in a mahatma and in their presence we can experience it too.Through a mere look, touch or a thought they can transmit this infinite love to us,if we make ourselves available.
so we may ‘FALL’ in love in this world, but we will ‘RISE’ in love in Amma’s presence! 🙂

Why? Because Love is.
All the rest is just brainy mumbo jumbo. Victory to the heart filled with Divine Love!

🙂 Love is the most natural thing that can happen to anyone. I believe, that people meet for a reason beyond our vision…plotted by the Heaven… Love happened to me because of Amma!! I see “my love” as a gift from Her, something to cherish for a lifetime…. In fact my Love bloomed over Amma’s bhajans, darsan and Vallikav visits…What else but Divine grace can cause this?? And then, there is no Fallling in Love, it’s always Rising in Love, as She says..
Amma my Mother
People love another person because of temporary attraction. They love somebody seeing the outer appearance or behavior of the other person. They may seem beautiful or good in nature outwardly.

Its just like stepping on banana peel and there you are…. flat on the floor, sometimes its muddy and filthy floor, sometimes its a bed of beautiful fragrant flowers….
…… i ve fallen on both.. 🙂
but its always better to “fall” in love with God.. coz the God has already “fallen” in love with us… so it’s easy..
ammasnimmy
Fall in love, in its real meaning, is a spontaneous action…it just happens without any force…I don’t think we can force a person to love something or someone…but since everything in this world is changing , it is also not permanent ….how long it may last depends on each person and circumstances…the one which is permanent is Amma’s love towards us…it is always there…I am afraid to claim that I have the same love towards Her …Amma says we love Her only when we are able to love even an ant the same way…a state when we love everyone and everything equally…or we establish in love or Amma…the moment when the realization happens!

Why fall in love? Can’t we say rise in love? i wish to say we have try to fall the love from the worldly things and the same try to rise towards the Great higher One that is Lord or God or Self. Then it will become Param Prem. The simple Love is the nature of mutual satisfaction. There is some kind or other expections is there. But our most beloved Amma like Mahahtmas have only the unconditional Love that is Param Prem (beyond the Prem)There is no expection from anybody or anything.Actually if we think deeply we use to love our own Self.Amma has the capcity to imbibe every body in the universe as her on soul. .Nowadays iam starting to love my own self or my heart where the Pure conciousness is abiding that is my beloved who is locked in it.

It’s a powerful illusion, maya… which seems to be too strong for humans to resist 🙂 But there is purity and innocence in it, so it has some spiritual qualities… A ‘better maya’ than the maya of wordly greed and seeking material gains…
shivasomasundar
A person falls in love to have a companion – simple! I think love for God comes only when we are distressed. Amma has said once “God is not a pain killer”, but sadly that’s how the human mind will treat prayer and God if given a chance.

Social pressure, the need to escape the boredom of being educated for 21years, the need to hold a cute replica of oneself. Scientists say smells cause the feeling to arise, or it is due to the need to procreate and sustain the human race. I was told when Amma was getting a couple married that the couple were more focused on Amma – that is the God principle – than on each other physically. Which is another way of saying what the hindi film song says – tujh me rab dikhta hai (I see God in you). If both sides can sing it then it is the everlasting love.

God makes us fall in love with other people. God controls everything. It is also karma that attracts us to particular people, things that need to be resolved from past lifetimes.

they might see something of themselves in some other thing and identify with it. the best is if we see god in another and seek to attain that.
Shriram
In Hinduism, marriage symbolizes Narayana, Pure consciousness in a male body and woman symbolizes Laxmi, Pure Consciousness in a female body.
Since consciousness can not be divided, spiritual love equals pure consciousness. Spiritual Union provides a merging of two souls. Since body is a vehicle for physical activities, mind w/o disturbance for clean thoughts, satwic words, and compassion during activities, one can have a spiritual experience. Amma is Universal Mother. She wants her children to be happily married, and enjoy healthy life style with self-less love between married couples.

It is the habit of materialistic attitude that makes people fall anywhere, This applies even to love. Spiritual people always rise instead, whether it be love or war.

Everyone argues that they are loving others, but the real thing is that we are loving ourself – this is the truth. We can find the true love in Mahathmas like Amma only.
Love means sacrifice. you can’t measure love, or even categorize the Love. Love is to make everyone happy without making them feel that u have a problem. It should be unconditional…
AmmasBoy
I think it’s when they find someone who reminds them of themselves and helps keep them in good spirits. The familiarity is both good and bad. With the good, it helps uplift them and remind them they are important. With the bad, they are seeing their reflection in someone they love, so they are more willing to change habits than retaliate or ignore.

This question reminds of a beautiful hymn that i learnt as a kid and sang years later unknowingly when i reached Amma’s presence..
“Love it was that made us, and it was love that saved us, love was Gods plan when He made man, Gods Divine nature is Love, Born of Gods Love we must love Him, thats why He made us to love Him but only when, we love all men, can we partake of Gods Love….

Why do people “fall” in love?
Because of the “gravity” of the situation.
This is not my answer. A quip once made by an engineer friend of mine.

Better to fall in love than fall in hatred right?? Falling in love broke my ego, made me surrender to the helplessness of my situation, torrents of tears that i cried emptied my heart of any bitterness and the helpless call from within for help brought God Himself to me in the form of my Mother My Beloved Amma. Thank God i loved truly in my life because thanks to that love today i am never alone i am never helpless i am constantly loved and adored by my Mother, my Amma.

Love with Amma (GOD) is divine bliss which teaches us to give give only. I Love my Divine AMMA with no limits. i am starting to love my own self, because i kept my amma in my heart. i am not alone or helpless i am constantly loved and adored by my Mother.
