Amma ! I can only think of Amma whenever I see the color white. I love the color so much only because of Amma. Peace, Purity, Serenity all these qualities are symbolised by white. The white clouds, Moon, white snow, flowers, ice cream 🙂 all remind me of Amma.
MY Divine AMMA, the feeling it brings to me is purity, serenity, calmness, divinity, ocean of love … I love my MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I Love White…Still remember how me, dressed in white, used to stand out amongst kids in bright reds, blues and yellows..
White to me is the most natural color on Earth. It gives a certain Freedom, and a sense of independence.. To me, it’s the color of vast infinity and represents a life without attachments which i always strive for..White to me, is She. 🙂
White colour represents Amma’s sari. Before meeting Amma it meant purity and a colour which actually has all the colours of the rainbow co-existing. It is like my grandma’s sari. All of that still is part of the white but now it is also soft and caring and reminiscent of Saraswathi Ma. It also reflects simplicity. White flowers have a beautiful scent. White hair and beard represent wisdom. White also reminds me of Amrita Sethu which is like Amma’s sari stretched over water to unite two pieces of land.
White symbolizes purity, it represents light…since it is the combination of all colors it shows unity…now, for me white represents Amma who is the union of all souls…
purity, simplicity and unassuming nature, cleanliness, lightness, freedom from passions.
White color for me symbolises love, purity, innocence and peace. I associate the color white with two people; my late grandmother and Amma; two strong ladies who have been instrumental in guiding and shaping me, in moulding and nurturing me. I identify the color white with these two women; women of immense grace, and strength. Both have taught me to believe in myself and also the power of prayers. Whenever I see the color white, I think of my grandmother and Amma.
Om !!! White symbolizes purity. To me, it’s purely divine, and contains every other colour. It ushers in freshness and joy.
white is… before the beginning, … and after everything
Mother of Purity and Knowledge …

The Divine Swan or Paramahansa also wears white dress that symbolizes accepting the pure from the impure, or separating milk from water.
The clear light of pure consciousness, the nature of mind.
Purity, peace and simplicity. Thoughts of Amma, Shri Ramakrishna and Sharada Maa and a feeling of emptiness for not being able to be in uninterrupted touch with them.
Yes, White is pure and simple and reminds of our Amma always. Main point is, for a sincere Sadhak if possible, it is good to always wear just white and that indicates that he/she has renounced the desire to wear colorful cloths A sadhak should not be paying importance to colors in his/her clothing, or choice of food or anything. Should be happy with what we have and be able to think about God always.
AMMA. It brings the feelings of a child also symbolising purity and truth.
Freshness, acceptance and simplicity. White always symbolises AMMA after I got my first darshan. I always wonder why AMMA wear white clothes except during Devi Bhava. I feel white accepts all other colours.
It shows your simplicity and purity. It also inspires you to keep away from the bad, and keep u on the track of good work. It also improves your internal thinking and gesture.
White represents, to me, the potential for all colors. Everything and nothing. Purity. The beginning. A white piece of paper can have anything drawn on it. White light can reflect any color. As such, to me, it reflects that which can become anything. God. Energy. Love.
A white colour would symbolize peace, beauty and many other things until I met AMMA. Coz after that a white colur would define a lady clad in a white sari or rather the entire universe clad in the white sari who herself is beyond all definitions.
White is the base of all colours. In the Gunatrayam(Satva, rajas and tamas)white represent the satva Guna. i think of snow, wedding cakes, picked fences. i once had a glimpse into the essence of amma in my mind and it was an extremely high vibration of love the color of silver-white silken-soft fabric. because of the grossness of my mind i could not appreciate it; it only made me uncomfortable. and only now is my heart starting to open up to amma. i need more “treatment.” jai ma amriteswari!

White represents the Divine Light, the Awareness and the Consciousness which shines in the whole of Universe. Our Ignorance of the Universal Consciousness in our Self is the darkness or Maya that deludes us. Amma has come to us as a Divine Light to take us from Darkness to the Light. Amma represents the White colour in our Life which will drive away any kind of darkness.
All colours unified make white. It represents to me vulnerability as it is so easy to stain. Also symbolizes death in my mind, which may mean end and emptiness as well as liberation. An instant uplifter though – if space is predominantly white or clothing – as I find it freezes thought process, mental activity in me.
White symbolizes peace for me. The embodiment of peace, Amma also adorns a white saree. Anything positive in life can be symbolized by white colour, the light of knowledge which destroys the darkness of ignorance.
White symbolizes purity and freshness for me. Like Amma.
White makes me think about Amma and purity; peace. I think of white doves, but mostly Amma. <3
