  1. Oh Ma…this time was made for reflection on the acts of selflessness and surrender that Lord Christ displayed while on earth. May i reflect upon my own actions also, and see where i can improve myself, to the benefit of others and mother nature. Ma… without your guidance, i’m lost in this ocean of the world . Please guide me and steer me in the right direction. I am only a little toddler. Show me the way.

  2. Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas
O! Lord may I find Merry Christmas everywhere and in everyone’s heart with the selfless song of love in all beats …
For me this year, the celebrations are quite usual. Making myself available to help all AMMA’s children.

  3. Well… i am happy it has an end. The people get all stressed and the children go crazy.(work with children) I do enjoy the decoration and the presents… it can be taken as a sign of caring about each other but there are more appropiate times for reflection on Jesus teachings.

  4. Christmas has become too commercial over the years. Of course it is a great occasion to remember the birth of a great mahatma like Jesus, but we should focus on the Supreme *everyday*, not only on holidays.
For me it is a day like any other. I always try to remember & celebrate God in my heart all the day of the year, every minute of my life.

  5. I am experiencing this Christmas period as a changing of the seasons.
I have reflected on Jesus’s and am less focused on the gift buying. My experience is that of wanting to connect with family members and spend time with them. The decorations seem to not affect me so much as it does my 2 year old who says “wow mommie looka-dat!”. Thank you for the reminder on where the focus should be at this time.

  6. I think it’s the time to understand the stability of our life and relationships…..Jesus’s was cheated by his student only…from this we can understand, in this life relationships are not stable ….but nowadays we are living for this…for examples…some people will say…until this time we lived for my child , for my wife…etc…….so this Christmas says to all….live for our everlasting relationship…that’s only with Amma(GOD)…live for Amma …

  7. at this point its just to commercial sales sales sales , it seems the massage is long gone quite frankly how I feel about it I am not sure , though I love to see my family and spend time off work ….. and just be human with no pretensions

  8. Christmas month is the time for Bagahtvat saptah.I always remember Amma in every minutes of my lifeThose seven days is a Bonus week for me.This is the great occation were all the people work selflessly make the saptah success.Listening, reading in blissful mood and the heart is filled with love and happyness. For me christmas is the celebration of saptah followed by new year conducting Lord Ayeppa’s padi pooja(18 steps)in Amma’s ashram in Auckland.

  9. My beloved AMMA has taught me that everyday is a Christmas day.

  10. 🙂
xmas to me is the time for nostalgia…
each year ,this season unfailingly reminds me of the carol singin, jewelled xmas trees and fun and frolic i had as a kid in school…
though i still see all this around me,the thought that lost childhood never comes back, moists my eyes…

  11. Despite all the turmoil world over, the cool weather makes the season great and splendid. During this season at least , if not the sacrifice by the Jesus Christ and his love he showered on us, we should realise that a lot of people starve, a lot of people need medicare and a lot of peole have no shelter. And we can set aside a little for them from the extravagance we do during the seasons of Onam, Xmas and other festivals.

  12. Both! I have the decorations and wrapped presents to please family and friends, but in my heart I am fully aware and have often reflected Jesus and Amma’s message of humility, compassion and selflessness seriously so as to bring change in my own life. I often think how Jesus lived and how Amma lives selflessly specially around this time of the year.

  13. Christmas is a time to remember a Mahatma who gave his life for the world. The presents and decorations help to show that we care for eachother.

  14. as i was walking down the street today i realized that the energy was elevated, like god’s grace was present. i’ve noticed people being more friendly, like christ’s spirit has come back to earth. when i think about it christmas is such a special time of the year. radio stations all play christmas themed-songs, and people are more in the spirit of giving. despite the negative materialistic connotations christmas has, there is still so much light around us now, at this time.

  15. Every celebration, including X’mas teaches me the importance of ‘this moment’ and the ephemeral nature of this world. Celebrations will come and go and there will come a time when i will be no more here to celebrate.
But instead of being worried about that, i would like to exchange happiness, smile, and love to as many people as i can. In that way, by Amma’s Grace, may every moment in Life become a celebration.
Praying for those who can’t buy a piece of cake, a good cloth or can’t have some sort of happiness due to various problems in life.

  16. Merry Christmas to Amma, to everyone at Amritapuri and to all those who have been blessed by Amma’s love.

  17. Christmas has made me think about forgiveness and to be more forgiving. If Christ could forgive the guys that crucified him, then we can at least forgive people for all the petty things we do to each other.
Also, this Christmas has been without many “gifts” due to travel and shipping problems, so it’s been nice to appreciate less tangible things, such as good family, friendship, communication, health, guru!, etc..

  18. I’m missing being in Amritapuri for Christmas, which is my tradition.

  19. Self sacrifice and love towards others
