  1. My Seva or Work is programming. Each work day is a minimum of 12 and usually 16 to 18 hours.
    I do not have a family or friends to attend to. My meals are less than a five minute walk away. My life is my Seva for Blessed Amma. Life is simple.
    To answer the question: 12 to 18 hours on computer a day, every day. 100Mbps speed, 24 hour internet at hand.

  5. way too much. it seems like life has been transferred ‘on-line’ – from contacting friends, working, getting information, too much time is spent sitting and staring at a small screen. Granted it’s more interactive than watching TV – but there are many times when the rest of the world seems blocked out.

  6. I have been writing a work for graduation for 4 months now . I notice that i use more internet now. I even made a profile on facebook and i have found nice teachings and information. Anyway Internet is more a practical thing to me and i supose i will use it less when i am finished with my writing. But its nice to know we are conected to this site for example. thank you.

  7. This is the heaviest time of the year for me as I am one of the tour coordinators for Seattle programs. Between the tour work and answering emails from therapy clients I would say that I am often spending 10 hours a day on the computer. My computer use is almost all email.

  8. I am on the internet a lot of the time. When ever I’m bored, I either listen to music, or I’m on the computer. And it’s always on the internet. The computer is a huge part of my life. Without it, I dont know what I would do, but what does this really have to do with spirituality?

  10. I open the Motherpage daily and have a darshan with Amma. I also, read the quote since it is Amma communicating to me Her advice on an issue at hand. Again whenever I have a doubt or a decision to make, I open the page and look at Amma’s quotes. Sometimes I keep opening it till Amma says something pleasing to my mind. I read the latest blogs and all my emails. Everyday, I transcribe for two – three hours as my seva. I must be spending at least three hours every day – good for me to take stock of this.

  11. By job I am a PS and I am at computer from 9am to 5p.m.. Other than official work all the time i am listening to My beloved AMMA’s bhajan. I open the internet to have darshan of my beloved AMMA and read the thoughts of the day and i try my level best to adopt them in my life and wait eagerly for the questions on the blog so that i can answer them. Happy Mothers Day to my beloved AMMA.

  12. 8 hours!! Working online…Spend here around amma everyday about 30 or 45 minutes reading through out new updates…posting comments here… its amma time now!!! OM NAMAH SHIVAYA everyone….

  13. All my working hours with a couple of breaks. The fact that Amma’s website and Her articles are available online provides me a great reminder of what I should contemplate and cultivate in my life.
    I enjoy my work at the computer and could not have imagined being away from it. However of late I have started realizing that too much of anything is not good and now I actually enjoy my time away from the computer.

  15. I am with the computer all the time while at office workplace.. The first thing I do everyday at office is to log on to this site, read all updates, view all photo uploads, check on the blogs etc… We have a full time internet connection at office and I have this Amma site kept open full time and I do check for updates very frequently… “An uninterrupted thought flow towards AMMA”…. which is Meditation….

  16. Though physically far, the internet brings Amma closer. and it has happened many a time that Amma’s message comes as a clear instruction and helps in removing doubts. thanks Amma for this wonderful website.

  17. I am a computer programmer so all my working hours are at the computer. I spend time on the internet in the morning to read Amma’s websites, blogs, and often work related material. Average 10-12 hours a day.

  18. when i blog, i sit for hours together thinking of something good to write for amma…
    and while chatting i restrict it only to a circle of close friends so that time is saved..

  19. Today computer has become an essential part of life.
    Whatever it maybe, computer plays an important role. However, when it comes to the question “time on computer, internet?”……. It can’t be said as it is a imperiodical and repitive act.
    According to me the duration used by a person on a computer is not important but what is important is what they do on the internet! for many cases software engineers consider computers as an organ of their body…

  20. I work on computer about 9-10 hours and about 1 hour with the internet on all working days.

  21. I spend a lot of time, 8 hours per day, my job is to be in front at the computer/internet, but the first thing that I do, when I’m in front of the PC is see the thoughts of the day, from Mother’s homepage! It’s to inspire me during the day!

  25. Most of my time spent to Computer. The first thing I see is Amma’s website and look for Amma’s thoughts for the moment. If I am not happy with that I keep looking at different time until I am satisfied. 3/4 of my time is spent on internet.
