Supreme Goddess

My great Amma, your radiance is like unto goddess Lakshmi.
My glorious Amma-Devi brighter than a thousand suns.
My holy Amma, you rest like Parvati upon the mountains.
My precious Amma, this heart shall see your face and dwell in bliss.
My sweet Amma, enchant me with the flute of your tender bhajans.
My loving Amma, all that flows from you is pure amrita.

Amma, avatar and conqueror of hate, I am yours.
Mata, you hold all kindness within you, bring me to your state.
Lead me from the mind to pure consciousness, from maya to Brahman.
Bring me from the suffering and dying world to your homeland.

Smile upon me, become the glory that shall merge within me.
Cradle me inside your peaceful arms, still and bless my mind.
Let the wandering thoughts, the restless ocean of pain become still.
And in that peace reveal now the splendour of my own true being.

Open the heart of your compassion, and pour your shakti power
Enflame my mind, lift it to behold you, the paramatman,
For you are the supreme goddess told by the aged rishis
The eternal bliss in the loveliest form, my only Amma.
