A Prayer

Oh! Ma, may not I be betrayed by the senses fickle,
That give me a bit pleasure but pain immeasurable.

Oh! Ma may my tongue ever sing Thy Name so blissful,
That gives soothing to the mind wandering uncontrollable,
Oh! Ma may my eyes ever meditate on Thy Form so mild,
That gives soothing to the heart so broken and dissatisfied.

Oh! Ma, may not I be betrayed by the senses fickle,
That give me a bit pleasure but pain immeasurable.

Oh! Ma, may my ears ever hear the songs of Thy melody,
That caresses the soul, healing the wounds of lives many.
Oh! Ma, may my hands ever serve Thee in all Thy forms,
That brings eternal solace to all even as Thy own arms.

Oh! Ma, may not I be betrayed by the senses fickle,
That give me a bit pleasure but pain immeasurable.

  1. One must understand that there is also something beyond our five senses.Intense sadhana and meditation are required to perceive such phenomena. Neverhteless, why worry when our Divine Mother is watching us. She knows everthing. We cannot hide anything from Her.
    Om Namah Shivaya.
