During the four darshan programs, Amma stressed the need for cleanliness in our public life. She went to the extent of demonstrating – like they do in the airplanes! – how to use the handkerchief. She said ashram would go out all the way to construct toilets all over the length and breadth of India, government co-operating – she knows you cannot stop people from peeing in public, unless you provide them the right facility.

Amma not only gave darshan but also handkerchiefs, as part of the Amala Bharatam Campaign, to all the children who came to her.

Amma’s Western children had organized a big stall for ABC, to spread the ABC message practically. They had flex displays to boldly proclaim the salient features of the program, as well as handouts with practical tips. ABC volunteers’ untiring display of dedication to their cause was very evident. They maintained the whole brahmasthanam area spic and span.
